Secure Documents with Digital Rights PDF DRM can add passwords, disable printing or copy/paste If you require securing or protecting your source documents, you can elect to save them to PDF format and apply Digital Rights Management (DRM) onto them. Regardless of the source document format, the files can be export into PDF and have security measures placed on them. Adding Digital Rights to your Documents From the Profiles editor, select the PDF Options tab. Within this tab is check boxes allowing you to disallow printing, or cut/copy and paste functions so users cannot extract data from these documents.
Adding passwords is easy. Simply select the Encrypt Files check box and the password and confirm boxes become enabled. From here you must type the exact password into both dialogues (upper and lower case as well). If you enter an incorrect character, the confirm dialogue will turn red providing you a validation of your entry.
Any of the samples can be used to apply digital rights as long as your output format is PDF. |
